Welcome to the web site of EFIGENIA Aerospace Robotics scientist research in autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles UAV developed by engineer MARIO ANDRES CORDOBA since 1991.

Engineer Cordoba is a Colombian pioneer in the design and development of Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and the UAV electronics embedded digital intelligent navigation, guidance and flight control system autopilots.
MARIO ANDRES CORDOBA G. received his engineering degree with high honors in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Cauca, Laureates Thesis: DSP-FPGA Embedded Fuzzy Logic Flight Control and Stability Augmented System For Unstable Autonomous Unmanned Aerial vehicles UAVs.
Engineer Córdoba has study Aerospace Engineering courses about Airplane Design in the University of Kansas, Department of Aerospace Engineering, Lawrence, Kansas, USA.

He has been Visiting Scholar Student in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, and he has been Short Term Visiting Scientist in NASA Langley Research Center, ICASE, Applied & Numerical / Computer Science. Hampton, Virginia, USA.

Since 1991 engineer Córdoba begun with his scientist research interest is in all aspect of design, development and operation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles UAV Systems, UAV aircraft design, aerospace instrumentation, Multi-sensors data fusion and GPS / IMU attitude determination using neural networks, Design, UAV airplane instrumentation design and development, DSP multiprocessor Fuzzy Logic flight control system architectures, Digital Neural Network and Fuzzy Logic integration for guidance navigation and autonomous flight control systems.

Since the beginning of the project, Mario Andres Cordoba’s design philosophy has been to create an develop new UAV autonomous robotic airplane technologies, as in the aeronautical as in the electronics design areas, that will provide high levels of autonomy, low-cost solution, leading to enhance the scientific use of the UAVs.
